NORRISTOWN, Pa. – February 14, 2025 – MRO Corp (MRO), the leading clinical data exchange company in healthcare, has achieved HITRUST CSF Certification for another two years for its Exchange Services platform, including Exchange Manager, Exchange Connector, Patient Central, and Requester Central.

HITRUST CSF is a certifiable security and privacy framework which incorporates information protection requirements based on input from leading organizations worldwide. Certification is awarded based on each domain’s average maturity score meeting a minimum threshold. Within each domain, the maturity scores for each requirement statement were validated by an External Assessor, and the assessment was subjected to quality assurance procedures performed by HITRUST.

“MRO remains dedicated to delivering secure and dependable data exchange while safeguarding sensitive information,” said Jason Brown, CEO of MRO. “Renewing our HITRUST certification for another two years reinforces our commitment to prioritizing the security and privacy of our customers.”

HITRUST was specifically designed for the healthcare industry and has since evolved to apply to most industries. This type of certification is best suited for organizations that need to demonstrate regulatory compliance with authoritative sources like HIPAA, HITECH, the NIST Cybersecurity Framework and dozens of others that require expanded tailoring of controls based on other identified risk factors.

“This certification is recognized and trusted by 81% of US hospitals and health systems, 83% of US health plans, and 75% of Fortune 20 Companies, placing MRO among industry leaders,” said Richard Weiss, Chief Information Security Officer for MRO. “Our risk-based approach goes beyond baseline compliance, exceeding today’s stringent industry standards for enhanced data management and security.”
