MRO Launches Prodigy™ |

Unlock AI-powered case finding, abstraction, and follow up.

From EHR to registry-ready: Prodigy handles the case end to end.

Prodigy does the legwork. Clinical experts make the call.

Every case moves through the same path, from your EHR data to a registry-ready record, with clinical experts validating before anything is submitted.

Direct EHR integration and FHIR-based interoperability securely bring in the clinical data needed for registry submission.

MRO’s platform searches your patient population and identifies cases based on registry requirements.

The clinical evidence needed to assess and abstract each case is assembled and presented.

Prodigy analyzes the clinical record, suggests registry answers, and provides supporting source documentation.

What Prodigy sees: the only PHI sent to Prodigy is the case data required for abstraction — the same as happens today with manual abstraction.

Our standard integration lets Prodigy find your cases and assemble the data for automated abstraction.

Standard implementation connects in two ways, Direct EHR integration and FHIR-based interoperability. Together they give Prodigy access to everything an abstractor would have access to.

Direct EHR integration

Connects to an allowed set of data in your data warehouse, so MRO can search your patient population for registry-eligible cases, as defined by the registries, and present the clinical evidence.

FHIR-based interoperability

Retrieves clinical data for a specific patient and encounter through your EHR’s standard clinical data APIs, so each case arrives with the evidence behind it.

How data flows through the MRO platform Clinical data moves from your systems, through Direct EHR integration and FHIR-based interoperability, into MRO’s data warehouse. Case finding extracts only the relevant registry case data and sends it to Prodigy, which predicts registry answers with supporting source documentation. The case is presented in Q-Apps, where Clinical Data Quality Specialists validate it for submission to the registry. Registry-eligible cases identified from your patient population, replacing manual processes that miss required cases and are time-consuming and costly.

Registry data elements predicted and pre-populated, with supporting source documentation.

Available where a registry requires it, such as oncology and some cardiovascular registries.

The same connection supports finding, screening, and enrolling eligible patients for clinical trials.

Cath PCI, STS-ACS, and oncology are live today. More are on the way.

One platform, continuously expanding. Here is where each service line stands and what the connection does for it.

Cardiology

Your EHR connection feeds case-finding and, for required registries, case follow-up. Prodigy pre-populates registry data elements with supporting source documentation for clinical experts to validate in Q-Apps.

Accuracy you can defend. Data you can protect.

Prodigy’s suggestions are protected by MRO’s robust Data Integrity System, and every one is validated by a clinical expert.

Every Prodigy suggestion shows the why beside the what

Clinical experts see three things together before they decide. Only suggestions rated High or Very High confidence are shown to them, and the expert accepts, modifies, or rejects each one.

Plain-language reasoning for the proposed value.

How MRO’s Data Integrity System works

Quality is protected across the data lifecycle, not just at the end.

  • Initial reviews. New clinical experts are reviewed by more experienced specialists until they consistently reach a 97%+ data element match, before they work independently. In oncology the bar is 95%+, which exceeds the industry standard.
  • Event-based case reviews. Focused reviews and specific element reviews flagged for a second look. Fallout reviews are triggered when case elements fall outside accepted ranges, with near real-time exception reporting.
  • Group case reviews. Cases are analyzed in aggregate with the Data Quality Report before submission.
  • Ongoing reviews. Post-abstraction, algorithm-based sampling and risk-based reviews of critical elements, measured against a target data element match threshold.
  • In-process checks. Real-time, in-application mistake-proofing built into the workflow.

The checks in use vary by registry. Your specialist will walk through the ones that apply to yours.

How your data is protected

Security review is built into implementation, with your security and privacy team involved from the start.

  • Encrypted in transit and at rest. TLS 1.2 or higher in transit, AES-256 at rest.
  • Independently audited. SOC 2 Type II audited and HIPAA compliant.
  • Minimum necessary PHI. Only the case data required for abstraction is sent to Prodigy, the same as manual abstraction today.
  • Read-only access. Your DBA creates a read-only service account and confirms the scope of data access.

What we need from your team, and how it comes together.

Most of the integration work is configuration and validation, not custom development. Your team provides access, connectivity, and security review. MRO handles implementation, mapping, and deployment.

Serves as the primary point of contact, coordinates internal teams, manages dependencies, and helps remove roadblocks.

Creates the read-only service account, confirms the scope of data access, and sets the schedule for data extraction.

Configures connectivity, including network and endpoint access.

Conducts vendor review, evaluates security and privacy requirements, and approves purposeful use.

Defensible data, submitted on time, with less manual effort.

MRO brings the technology, the clinical experts, and the quality controls, so submissions stay on time as your reporting demands grow.

Finding registry-eligible cases usually means running reports, exporting data, and cleaning lists to be sure they contain what they should. MRO’s platform takes that work on.

Prodigy covers 60% of data elements, pre-populating answers with supporting source documentation for clinical experts to validate.

Every case is validated by a clinical expert, backed by 11,000+ hours of quality checks every month.

“MRO’s AI solutions, like Prodigy, yield not only pivotal time and cost savings but also better accuracy in case selection, where every patient counts.”

How do you integrate with our EHR?

Our standard Prodigy implementation is Direct EHR integration and FHIR-based interoperability, because together they support the entire abstraction process, from case finding to abstraction and follow-up.

No. Most of the integration work is configuration and validation, not custom development. Your team provides access, connectivity, and security review; MRO handles implementation, mapping, and deployment.

A project contact to coordinate internal teams, a database administrator to create a read-only service account and set the extraction schedule, your network team to configure connectivity, and your security and privacy team to complete vendor review.

The only PHI sent to Prodigy is the case data required for abstraction, the same as manual abstraction today. All data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.2 or higher) and at rest (AES-256), and is independently audited under SOC 2 Type II standards.

Prodigy learns from your facility’s own data and from the decisions made on your cases, so its confidence ratings reflect your documentation practices. That learning is specific to your facility and is not used to train MRO’s larger model.

Every suggestion is reviewed and validated by a clinical expert in Q-Apps before submission. Behind that, MRO’s Data Integrity System layers reviews across the data lifecycle, supported by 11,000+ hours of quality checks every month. MRO delivers 97%+ data accuracy.
