KING OF PRUSSIA, Pa. – January, 2005 – MRO Corporation today announced an agreement to provide release-of-information (ROI) processing services to Lehigh Valley Hospital and Health Network located in Allentown, PA. The service began in December of 2005.

Under this agreement, Lehigh Valley Hospital and Health Network has incorporated MRO’s in house ROI technology with their McKesson Horizon Patient Folder electronic medical record system. The new workflow enables the hospital to bring their ROI in-house and partner with MRO to provide the back office fulfillment functions.

“We have considered processing our ROI in-house for several years in order to take advantage of our electronic health record, but we did not want to become involved with billing, collections, mailing records, and the associated customer service phone calls. Their management team worked closely with our Health Information Management team to ensure a smooth transition and maintain an efficient customer-oriented process”.
