Benchmark Medical will integrate MRO in over 350 locations
KING OF PRUSSIA, Pa. – April 15, 2004 – Benchmark Medical, Inc., a leading provider of musculoskeletal outpatient physical rehabilitation services headquartered in Malvern, PA, today announced the selection of Medical Records Online (MRO) for document management services. Benchmark Medical operates more than 381 points of service in 19 states, making it the third-largest provider of musculoskeletal rehabilitation services in the United States.
MRO provides medical record solutions, including Document Management and release-of-information Solutions, for both inpatient and outpatient facilities. MRO’s systems can be implemented quickly and create significant savings compared to paper-based systems.
“MRO’s Chart Online™ program is an excellent cost-effective solution to meet the needs of an organization like ours”, said Tim Leffler, Benchmark’s Vice President of Information Technology Services. “With over 350 locations across the country, the volume of paperwork is tremendous. MRO’s Chart Online™ will enable us to automate our medical records storage and retrieval work flows”.
“Chart Online™ will enable Benchmark to eliminate the need to process and file thousands of pages per day”, according to Steve Hynes, MRO’s Vice President of Sales & Marketing. “The WebFax feature built into Chart Online™ will automatically place inbound faxes into the correct filing que for quick and easy filing to a patient’s Electronic Medical Chart (EMC). This will enable Benchmark to have desktop access to documents required for billing purposes”.
“Chart Online’s combination of functionality and subscription-based pricing is very compelling. We can implement this program with minimal capital expenditure”, added Leffler.
