ROI Service Models

ROI Service Models

MRO offers a unique combination of Release of Information (ROI) technology and services that creates a true partnership with healthcare providers. MRO’s ROI solution, ROI Online®, can be delivered in a variety of deployments which enables the facility to set up the process that works best for them. All of the service delivery models offered allow the facility to take advantage of MRO’s dynamic technology platform, workflows that ensure compliance, exceptional customer service and unique requester-relations support—all of which drive an unmatched client-retention rate. The flexible, scalable service models are as follows:

Shared Services

MRO provides ROI solutions that enable healthcare organizations to manage the onsite ROI process with their own staff, but partner with MRO to provide billing, collections, record distribution, Quality Assurance (QA) and Requester Services functions.

Staffed Services

By choosing MRO’s staffed services model, healthcare organizations can control and improve their Protected Health Information (PHI) disclosure management processes without added staffing costs. MRO applies a rigorous hiring process to provide the highest quality onsite staff to perform ROI services—allowing the Health Information Management (HIM) department to focus on other core competencies while continuing to achieve a higher level of compliance oversight.

Centralized Remote Services

MRO’s centralized Remote Services team provides logging and release services from our Pennsylvania-based processing center. If a healthcare organization is fully electronic, MRO can manage the ROI process end-to-end, remotely. This team is trained to access 16 different electronic medical records (EMRs) in support of the HIM, business office and radiology departments, with additional systems continuously added based on client needs. The centralized Remote Services team also offers supplemental audit support through batch logging audits, pulling electronic records and releasing records remotely.
