Improvements to provide radical bandwidth and performance gains for hospitals and outpatient facilities using the release-of-information (ROI) processing application

KING OF PRUSSIA, Pa. – April 22, 2008– MRO Corp., the market leader of shared-service, release-of-information (ROI) solutions for healthcare providers, today announced the launch of technology infrastructure upgrades as well as software enhancements to its flagship product, ROI Online™. These initiatives improve the user experience with enhanced functionality, increased bandwidth, heightened security and additional customization within the ROI process.

In preparation for the April launch of the new software upgrades, MRO administered Webinar training sessions to introduce customers to the new functionality of the product. The software upgrades to ROI Online include:

  • Strategically placed menu options and navigation tools, based on tasks frequently performed by users;
  • The ability to export all lists to a Microsoft Office Excel spreadsheet;
  • An expanded library of standard and customized reports;
  • New Legal Review workflow, allowing users to flag and track requests in the system that require review by legal council before they can be processed; and
  • Additional Web portal functionality for internal requesters.

In addition to recent hardware system investments, MRO migrated its data center operations from its existing SunGard facility to SunGard’s enhanced infrastructure in Center City Philadelphia, Pa. This transition provides a higher level of physical and network security, availability and system performance. In addition to enhanced security, ROI Online users will notice faster, more efficient performance and increased bandwidth.

“Combined with recent additions to our sales force, these changes to our proprietary software and IT infrastructure are part of MRO’s strategic expansion,” said David Borden, MRO”s chief technology officer. “Our business has experienced dramatic growth over the past few years, at a pace of nearly doubling our revenues every 12 to 18 months. The financial and technological investments we are making now provide our customers with unmatched performance and functionality capabilities, while positioning the company for future production capacity demands.”
