Chief Platform Architect
As a co-founder of MRO and Chief Platform Architect, Borden has played an integral role in making MRO an industry-leader for technical innovation. He has guided MRO’s efforts in becoming a Health Information Handler for CMS’s esMD program, a provider of Direct Secure Messaging services, a certified participant for the eHealth Exchange, and a certified partner for SSA’s MEGAHIT program. Borden directed efforts leading to MRO’s certifications for Meaningful Use Stages 1 and 2; he is also the inventor of MRO’s patented IdentiScan® patient identification software, and the architect behind MROeLink®, a suite of integrations between MRO’s ROI Online® platform and hospital IT systems. Borden also serves on the board of The Sequoia Project, a non-profit dedicated to the nationwide implementation of real-world interoperability solutions to improve patient experience and health outcomes. He received his B.A. from Harvard College.
